The Prospectors are, traditionally, canoes to do everything ("the draft horse of the Great North"); they are not focused in one area, but behave well almost everywhere: Whitewater, canoe-camping, expeditions and touring.
Of all the Prospectors available on the market, the Prospector 16 'Sport d'Esquif is the most "whitewater" oriented; it has a more rounded shape than the "standard" 16 'Prospector, its bows are larger; it will therefore pass wave trains more easily, will be more agile in stoppers and power recoveries; on the other hand, it is a little slower (larger bulks) and it is more sensitive to wind.It's also far more responsive if paddling solo, particularly on moving water.
