When a design brief says "ensure a comfortable, fast, forgiving boat" Where do you begin? We went back deep into racing folklore and found arguably the world's most successful K1 - the Struer Lancer. We paddled it, looked at it from every angle, decided why it worked so well and still retained so much comfort. We concluded it's secret was the hulls soft smooth sections and the cockpit and that with finer, faster entry and exit lines we would have a boat every bit as exciting to paddle as all the latest boats but retaining a sense of the paddler still being in control even in the most extreme conditions. Thus the birth of the Eta and Zeta. The clean, fine, shaped deck ensures tight strong paddle entry position without the need for clunky big ugly cut outs and the smooth deck shape ensures waves part away from the boat keeping it dry and low on windage
